Hello, guys!
Hoje vou falar sobre a condição dos alimentos, cru, passado, vencido, etc.
FRESH – Something recently made, just harvested.
E.g: I bought these fresh apples to bake a delicious pie.
PAST ITS SELL-BY DATE: It is the latest date put in products indicating until what date that it can be sold.
E.g”: I cannot eat those cookies anymore, they past their sell-by date a week ago.
RAW: It is a food in its natural state, not cooked.
E.g: I love eating raw fish
RIPE: It is a fully grown fruit or vegetable.
E.g: I went to the grocery shop and the ripe bananas were on sale.
UNRIPE: It is the opposite of ripe, not ready, not grown.
E.g: I wanted to make a fruit salad, but there are some fruits that are unripe, so I can’t make it.
ROTTEN: It is when the food is spoiled, bad to eat.
E.g: Those pears were in the fridge for more than 2 weeks, they’re rotten now.
OVERCOOKED: To cook something for a long time until the food gets dry or even burned.
E.g: I love coming to this steak house because the meat here is delicious and they even let it overcook!
UNDERCOOKED: The opposite of overcook, to undercook means not cooked enough.
E.g: I cannot eat this dish, it is undercooked… can you see the blood in the steak?
See you in my next post!
